Baraka is a singer, songwriter, & pianist in Los Angeles. Classically trained at the renowned Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, Baraka specializes in vocal versatility. With an extensive background in both live performance and studio recording, Baraka regularly sings a variety of genres, including Jazz, Pop, Classical, R&B, Folk, and Musical Theatre.

During her studies at USC, where she holds a Master's Degree in Vocal Music, Baraka was in USC's International Award-winning a cappella group, Reverse Osmosis, for three years. Recording two albums with the group and performing in numerous venues, such as the Lincoln Center in New York City, Baraka made distinctions as a soloist, vocal percussionist, and vocal arranger, winning several competitive awards in each category.

Baraka has trained with renowned musical theatre composer, Jason Robert Brown, as well as Los Angeles tenor, Jonathan Mack. She has performed the National Anthem as a soloist for over 60 public events, including a televised Anaheim Angels Major League Baseball game. In 2007, she performed the National Anthem as a soloist for U.S. Congressman and Presidential Candidate, Ron Paul, at the University of Southern California. Baraka is also the singing voice of the Princess in the Medieval Times Dinner Theater Show across the U.S and Canada.
